En wants to pay homage to Shigaraki Japan where his studio is located. Shigaraki was once a major center for ceramic art in Japan. The area was known for its ceramic Tanuki's symbolizing luck, health, and virility. Due to declining population the area isn't as active as it used to be. En wants to bring attention to the area and hopes to help develop his community into a vibrant artists community.
